building, the collective that emerged from my MFA thesis, is doing a project for the March 1st Day of Action at UC Santa Cruz. We will be setting up a space for protestors to take a break, have a cup of coffee, talk about the state of public education, reimagine the public university, extend the dialogue to others through a postcard project, and check in on other concurrent actions. Check out our new website for more info: buildingcollective.org.

I will be speaking at the “Interpanel Relationships: A Spatial Discussion” this Saturday at S.H.E.D. Projects in Oakland presented by Nightmare City. I’m going to talk about parallel universes, multidimensional space, theoretical physics, critical spatial practices in theoretical spaces, computational media, and, of course, art. This will be unlike any panel presentation you’ve ever seen, or so I’m told.

Fun-a-Day in the Bay opens tomorrow night at Rock, Paper, Scissors in downtown Oakland. As always, there will be a lot to see and a lot of fun things happening for Art Murmur. I’ll have a bunch of drawings on found paper.
